GACO Corner: Something fishy going on…

A few weeks ago, a team member at the German-American Community Office (GACO) walked into work and immediately sensed something was…  fishy. The beloved fish statue in the corner had vanished! Had it gone on vacation? Swum off to find itself? Left us for a more glamorous pond? The team was baffled, bewildered, and maybe a tiny bit offended.

Before we could file a missing fish report, we discovered the truth: The 786 CES team had whisked it away for a makeover. Meanwhile,  the City of Kaiserslautern has been busy cleaning up the remaining fish around town and teaming up with local agencies to create brand new ones for the city’s 750th anniversary.

Then last week — just as mysteriously as it had disappeared — our fish returned. No note, no explanation, just a fabulous new paint job and a glow up worthy of a reality TV reveal. Now the GACO fish is shining bright, dressed to impress, and ready to celebrate 750 years of city rights in Kaiserslautern!

Thank you very much to the great team of the 786 CES! You did a fabulous job!
