German students visit American schools

***image1***The Landstuhl German Academic High School has a special two-week Praktikum for 11th-graders (generally, about 17 years old) to perform a community service while exploring career opportunities. Landstuhl Elementary and Middle School has hosted these students for 14 years. This year, 11 young people, eager to help and to work with American students, participated in the program.

The “Arbeitsamt” (German Employment Counselor) has been very enthusiastic and supportive of this exchange. The student teachers come to work closely with the American teachers and to have as many practical experiences with the English language and American children as possible. In the end, the benefit is great to both the German student teachers and their American students.
