***image1***One man’s junk is another man’s treasure proved true at the first 415th Base Support Battalion’s Giant Flea Market held Sept. 11 at Pulaski Park.

The 415th BSB is hosting another Giant Flea Market 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 23 due to the success of their first one.
The first one saw more than 120 KMC members selling their unneeded items and more than 200 members picking up bargains and treasures.

We were able to pick up phones, fans, toys, art work, transformers and even a clock,” said Amanda Wood, wife of a senior airman and mother of three who just moved here from Travis Air Force Base, Calif. “It’s expensive to replace all your electrical merchandise, but we were able to make do by finding great deals at the Giant Flea Market.”

“We understood that there were many families in the KMC that had a wide range of household goods that had accumulated through many PCS moves that were no longer needed,” said Amber Wallin, 415th BSB’s Kaiserslautern ODR recreation assistant. “We also realized that many people in the area were in need of these very same items.”

Those interested in reserving a table can visit the Kaiserslautern ODR, Bldg. 2905 on Pulaski Barracks or by calling 489-7751 or 0631-536-7751.
