The vacation region Ohmbachsee-Glantal will sponsor a family hiking day featuring a culinary panorama hike and an entertaining program between Haschbach and Niedermohr from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The hike will lead through four union communities and two counties, along the Glan-Blies biking trail between Theisbergstegen and Niedermohr and along the scenic panorama routes above the Glan Valley.

Participants will find signs to the routes of this hike telling them how far it is to the next village, how long they need for it, and if there is a train station stop. Hikers can choose which route they are walking and determine their own tempo. Some hiking trails are well-paved and usable by parents with strollers as well as inline skaters. Others have unavoidable inclines, which are not suitable for strollers.

Hikers can take various routes when participating in the culinary panorama hike Sunday in the vacation region of Ohmbachsee/Glantal.

More than 20 food and beverage stations will be set up to offer Palatinate barbecue specialties and a vegetable pot in Haschbach, flammkuchen in Theisbergstegen, pea soup in Gimsbach, fish with potato salad in Matzenbach, vegetarian farmers’ pot in Fockenberg-Limbach, schnitzel sandwich in Reuschbach, trout and salmon in Rehweiler, and game frikadellen in Glan-Muenchweiler. Drinks will include May punch, liquors, schnaps, wine specialties, beer and coffee.

The full panorama route is 12 kilometers long and the Glan-Blies biking trail is 11.1 km long.
