Spooky Story Time

U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern’s Army libraries host Spooky Story Time at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the library, Bldg. 3810 on Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. Enjoy spooky crafts and prizes for the best costume. For details, call 486-7322 or 06371-86-7322.

Haunted Tent City

The Haunted Tent City, located near the 435th Construction and Training Squadron at the end of the old autobahn, will be open at 6 p.m. Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Oct. 29, 30 and 31. Family Fright Night

U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern’s Army Community Service hosts Family Fright Night from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 30 at Skate Express on Vogelweh. Bring the whole family and enjoy a night of Halloween fun. There will be free skating, arts and crafts, and a family photo area. Wear costumes to participate in the Costume Bragging Rights Competition. Trick-or-Treating Hours

Halloween trick-or-treat hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31 for the KMC housing areas on Ramstein, Vogelweh and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.

Halloween City Parade

The first Halloween city parade in Europe takes place Oct. 31 in Kaiserslautern. It starts 5 p.m. from Barbarossa Castle (next to city hall) and leads through the city center. Anybody interested can watch or walk in the parade wearing Halloween costumes or participate in a special Halloween-decorated vehicle. Those with vehicles can win up to €3,000 for the most amazing vehicle, but they need to register in advance and pay a fee of €50. Trick-or-Treat Street Carnival

Join us from 6 to 8 p.m. Halloween night in the Ramstein Youth Center gym for free activities including bouncy castles, pumpkin carving contest (bring pre-carved), a magic show, a costume contest and face painting.

Halloween Bash

U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation hosts a Halloween Bash from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. Oct. 31 at the Kazabra Club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. There will be a live DJ and dancing and costume contests. For details, call 489-7261 or 0631-536-7261.

Halloween Night in KMC Housing Areas

Trick-or-treaters are invited to come out and celebrate Halloween from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31 throughout the Ramstein, Vogelweh and Landstuhl family housing areas. Families attending from off-installation locations are asked to limit vehicle traffic in housing areas. For Ramstein participants, parking will be available at the Ramstein Commissary, Ramstein Elementary School and Ramstein High School. 

For Vogelweh participants, the Vogelweh Theater and bowling alley parking lots will be available. The 569th U.S. Forces Police Squadron will also open Gate 4 to aid inbound and outbound traffic flow. Gate 4 is located below the Armstrong’s gate and will allow access to Vogelweh Family Housing near the billeting office.

Children should wear reflective clothing, and as an additional safety precaution, the Ramstein passenger terminal will provide candy X-Ray services from 6 to 11 p.m.
