Health Fair offers one-stop shopping

***image1***If you ever wished you could network with all the healthcare providers you needed in just one room, the Health Fair Wednesday may be just the event you’ve been waiting for.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Heaton Auditorium at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, more than 25 representatives will be on hand to answer any questions about military health services and benefits, as well as offering medical services such as pneumococcal and shingles vaccinations for retirees. If shots make you nervous, then relax in the massage chair for a few minutes.

“Our main goal is for the Health Fair to be fun and interactive, and I encourage all military beneficiaries to come out and see what healthcare benefits are available to support them,” said Maj. Julie Lee, an Army public health nurse at LRMC.

For example, Major Lee said new arrivals stationed in the KMC for the first time would probably be interested in learning how the process works if they’re required to seek medical care from a German doctor. Other agencies of interest to many will include pediatrics, pharmacy, dental, optometry and women’s health.

The list of agencies to be represented is:
• Army Community Service
• Army Wellness Center
