***image1***The Ramstein Royals varsity team defeated the Lakenheath Lancers at Lakenheath, England, 53-30 Feb. 4. The score was 27-11 at halftime, and the Royals continued to find the open man and won the game handily. Leading scorers for the Royals were Allen Weaver with 15 points and Eric Murray with 12. The Royals dominated the Lancers Saturday and scored a season high 80 points in an 80-55 victory. Allen Weaver led the scoring with 15 points, followed by Alex Tremble with 15.

Lakenheath 48, Ramstein 46

Ramstein varsity girls split with Lakenheath over the weekend winning Friday 48-31 and losing Saturday 48-46 in the last second of the game. Kaylen Bannister was high scorer for Friday’s game. She scored 19 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. Heather Steele was high scorer on Saturday followed by Krissy Grosselin. Steele scored 16 points and had 12 rebounds. Grosselin had 11.
ISB 40, Kaiserslautern 35
Kaiserslautern 44, ISB 38

The Kaiserslautern Lady Raiders travelled to the International School of Brussels to play Feb. 4 and Saturday. In the first game the Lady Raiders tried to rally from a double-digit deficit but came up just short as ISB won 40-35. The Lady Raiders were led by Bianca Gerena-Perez who had 19 points and Anisha Ingram who had 8 points. Saturday the Lady Raiders bounced back and won the conference match up 44-38. The Lady Raiders were led once again by Bianca Gerena-Perez who had 19 points. Dupe Babatunde also played a big role by scoring 10 points and shutting out ISBs leading scorer.

Kaiserslautern wrestlers finished fifth in the six-team round robin Saturday. Two lone bright spots for Kaiserslautern were Stevie Gillespie and Troy Price. Gillespie took first at 103 pounds, and Price upset previously undefeated Patch wrestler, Brian Bowles, at 275 pounds.
