After the Benghazi attacks in Libya on Sep. 11, 2012, the 86th Airlift Wing repatriated the remains of the fallen at Benghazi Consulate, U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. The remains were transported to Ramstein Air Base (later to Andrews Air Force Base) and the 86 AW played a significant role in the dignified arrival and transfer process.Photo by J.B. Andrews
