I am an Airman


***image1***Airman 1st Class Benjamin Guyton works in the command post as a duty controller. He’s the eyes and ears for the wing commander.

“ I provide command and control support to both the 86th Airlift Wing and the 435th Air Base Wing commanders,” he said. “I receive, process and distribute headquarters taskings and wing directives for KMC personnel.”
Airman Guyton manages a multitude of airframes for distinguished visitors and airlift/aeromedical evacuations throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

What he likes best about his job: “I talk to and handle matters with the wing commanders and group commanders, such as Brig. Gen. Rich Johnston, Col. Earl Matthews, Col. Jon Thomas and Col. Richard Wheeler, on a daily basis.”

 Job title/ duty description: Command Post Duty Controller. He ensures timely submission of operational reports to headquarters and receives and authenticates emergency action messages.

 Time in Service:  8 months
 Hometown:  Pickerington, Ohio
 Family:  Single; father is Richard, mother is Tina and sister is Amanda.
AF Goals in 5 years:  To learn what to do in any situation given to me at any time and to make staff sergeant first time.
 Hobbies:  Music (collecting albums and playing guitar), bowling and movies
