Intramural basketball games move along

With the 435th Services Squadron Intramural Basketball League nearing an end, the National League 735th Civil Engineer Squadron and the American League U.S. Air Forces in Europe Regional Supply Squadron remain undefeated as of Jan. 23.
In the National League, the second place 435th Communications Squadron team, with a 7-1 record, waits patiently for the undefeated 735th CES to falter. 435th CS and others are ready to take over the top spot before heading into tournament play.
URSS holds onto a big lead in the American League with a 10-0 record. The second place team, USAFE Theater Air and Space Operations Center, supports a record of 6-2.
The Over-30 League is getting more interesting – three teams have only one loss each. The leader going into the tournament probably won’t be known until the last game is played. The 435th CS is in first place with a 9-1 record. Tied for second place are USAFE Regional Supply Squadron and 435th Logistics Readiness Squadron with 8-1 records.
Intramural basketball games continue at the Vogelweh Fitness Center through early February. Members can come out and see how their favorite team plays in the upcoming tournament.
