As with all sports, there comes a time when athletes go from budding prospect to rising star. It also marks a time when those stars transition from stardom and enter the next chapter in their life.

No team in sports history has been exempt from the bittersweet feeling of seeing their star athletes transition away from their team. For the Kaiserslautern Kingfish swim team, that time has come.

Jan. 21 marked the final home meet for eight of its best swimmers. The team celebrated Senior Day to highlight the swimmers’ contributions and the legacy they leave for the next generation. These seniors were recognized for their devotion to the team.
