March 29
6:30 p.m.: An Air Force member and dependent were involved in a verbal altercation. The dependent’s sibling attempted to calm the situation by placing the dependent in a head lock. The Air Force member separated the two and placed the dependent in the bathroom. The Air Force member attempted to check on the individual in the bathroom and upon entering was struck multiple times with a closed fist. All individuals declined medical attention on scene.

8:16 p.m.: A dependent and local national were involved in a minor traffic accident. Polizei determined the dependent was possibly under the influence of a controlled substance.

March 30
1:14 a.m.: Polizei observed a Soldier driving his vehicle in an erratic manner. Upon contact, Polizei detected the odor of alcohol emitting from the Soldier’s breath. The Soldier was released to security forces and advised of his legal rights.

10:02 a.m.: An Air Force officer reported an attempted break-in and damage to private property. Investigation revealed someone attempted to gain access to his residence through the front door, leaving the door frame scratched and bent.  There are no known suspects or witnesses.


March 31
5 a.m.: A civilian’s vehicle ran out of gas in Kirchheimbolanden. Polizei conducted a routine check on the vehicle and upon contact detected the odor of alcohol emitting from his breath. Further investigation revealed the individual was also driving on a suspended license due to a previous drunken driving incident.

12:12 p.m.: An Air Force member reported Internet fraud after she sent €1,830 to a person who placed an ad on a local auction website to get a Maltese puppy shipped to Germany. She never received the puppy.

9:35 p.m.:  A dependent was traveling on the off ramp of autobahn A6 when her vehicle spun out of control and came to rest in a ditch. The dependent suffered a swollen lip. The front bumper of the vehicle dislodged and both air bags deployed.
 
April 1
7:20 p.m.: A civilian’s vehicle struck a local national’s vehicle, causing the local national to strike another vehicle. Upon contact, Polizei detected the odor of alcohol emitting from the civilian’s breath. The civilian was released to security forces and advised  of her legal rights.

7:27 p.m.: A civilian and local national were involved in a verbal altercation. The local national asked the civilian to leave her residence. Upon leaving the residence, the local national followed the civilian and vandalized his vehicle. The civilian went to LRMC for a cut to his lip and chipped tooth.

April 2
6:40 a.m.: Polizei observed a Soldier operating his vehicle in an erratic manner. Upon contact, Polizei determined the Soldier was possibly under the influence of alcohol. The Soldier was released to security forces and advised of his legal rights.

April 3
3:17 a.m.: Polizei observed an Air Force NCO operating his vehicle in an erratic manner. Upon contact, Polizei detected the odor of alcohol emitting from his breath. Polizei seized his USAREUR license and security forces advised him of his legal rights.

6:35 p.m.: An AAFES employee reported two individuals stole property from the KMCC. Security forces arrived and reviewed the security footage to verify the shoplifting. Searches were conducted on the two individuals and multiple items were found with a total value of $2,970.39. The individuals were advised of their legal rights.

April 4
3:33 a.m.: A towing company employee reported a possible drunken driver. The employee was attempting to pull a civilian’s vehicle out of landscape. Polizei arrived on scene and detected alcohol emitting from the civilian’s breath.

10:15 p.m.: An Airman reported larceny of private property after someone stole a computer, a Sony PlayStation, a utility knife, one set of handcuffs, DVDs, and PlayStation games.

Barments
» An AAFES employee was terminated from work and barred for drug use. 

» Two AAFES employees were terminated from work and barred for involvement in fraud and theft.

UCMJ Actions
» The 485th Intelligence Squadron commander administered non-judicial punishment under Article 15, Uniform Code of Military Justice, to a senior Airman for violation of Article 86, failure to go, and Article 91, insubordinate conduct toward a noncommissioned officer. The commander imposed punishment of reduction to Airman first class, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand.

» The 86th Communications Squadron commander administered non-judicial punishment to an Airman first class for violation of Article 108, damage to government property, and Article 134, drunkenness. The commander imposed punishment of suspended reduction to Airman, suspended forfeiture of $500 pay for one month, 30 days restriction to base, 30 days extra duty and a reprimand.

» The 86th Security Forces Squadron commander administered non-judicial punishment to a senior Airman for violation of Article 91, insubordinate conduct toward a noncommissioned officer, and Article 92, failure to obey an order or regulation.  The commander imposed punishment of suspended reduction to Airman, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand.
