***image1***KMC Job Shadow Day will be Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon. All Department of Defense school children are invited to attend various events throughout KMC installations. Job Shadowing provides young people with an up-close look at how skills learned in the classroom are put to use in the workplace. Job Shadow Day provides firsthand knowledge of the skills and education needed to succeed in the job market and encourages positive relationships with KMC members.

Job Shadow Day gives students a chance to explore various careers beyond what their parents may do for a living. Many units have invited students to visit their facilities. Parents should obtain their supervisors’ approval before bringing their child to the workplace. The following are only some of the activities and tours available. Tune into 100.2 AFN Monday mornings at 7 a.m. for more information or contact your local School Liaison Office (RAB/LRMC schools, 480-9374 or K-Town/SAB schools, 489-6771).
