KMC Wellness Day was a hit!

The Ramstein Health and Wellness Center, Landstuhl’s Wellness Center, 435th Services and the 435th Medical Group’s Physical Therapy hosted the first-ever KMC Wellness Day April 22.

The day was filled with great information from nine different helping agencies, 11 nutrition/fitness/tobacco cessation/stress management classes, cholesterol screenings, blood pressure screenings, Microfit and gait analysis assessments, body fat assessments, free back/neck massages and free healthy snacks. In addition, a Total Fit Challenge was organized through Physical Therapy and attracted four teams. Only one team, however, was recognized with the quickest time – 435th Civil Engineer Squadron!

Finally, three members were recognized as winners of the Ramstein HAWC raffle: Patricia Haas, Sharon Tremble and a U.S. Navy commander. Each received a fully loaded HAWC gym bag.

On behalf of the gracious hosts who sponsored this worthwhile event, thanks to all of you who broke away from your busy day to attend. The purpose of the KMC Wellness Day was to arm our active-duty members and civilians with the tools needed to adopt a healthier lifestyle. We are confident that this intent was fully met and look forward to future events of this nature.
