Lantern parade in school

Kaiserslautern Elementary School students and their music and arts teacher, Kara Johnson-Craven, parade through the Kaiserslautern Middle and High School hallways Nov. 17, led by Saint Martin, the high school mascot. While holding their hand-crafted lanterns, the students were singing traditional German songs to honor Saint Martin, the patron of the poor and friend of children. — Photo by Mel Figuracion
