Lt. Dan Band to play Ramstein

***image1***Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Monday in Ramstein’s Hangar 3. Doors open at 6 p.m. The concert is sponsored by United Service Organizations, 435th Services Squadron and Armed Forces Entertainment.

Mr. Sinise, who plays the bass, is part of a 10-member band, which performs covers of everything from Bruce Springsteen to Linkin Park.

The band got its name based on a character Mr. Sinise played in the 1994 movie Forrest Gump. Everywhere he went, children and adults recognized him as Lt. Dan, especially those in the military.

And, according to the band’s official Web site, Lt. Dan became the obvious choice for the band’s name.
