LEARN, Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude, Relationships and Nutrition is a 12-week program that helps people look at their behavior, and study the “whys” in their diet and nutrition plan or lack of a plan.
People interested in the LEARN program start by getting baseline measurements, including abdominal circumference, height, weight and cholesterol level. The next 12-week LEARN program starts March 14.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently updated the recommended daily nutrition chart, now called MyPyramid. It emphasizes grains, vegetables, fruit, milk, meat and beans and oils. There are 12 pyramids with different calorie intake counts, depending on a person’s activity. For
