Holy Family Catholic Community at Ramstein/Vogelweh Annual Picnic at Pulaski Park: Aug. 18, 10 a.m. Mass with Bishop Muhm followed by picnic (there will be no 9 a.m./5 p.m. masses at Ramstein North Chapel on Aug. 18.), Catholic Masses that weekend: Aug. 17, 5 p.m., Vigil Mass at Vogelweh Chapel; Aug. 18, 10 a.m., Mass at Pulaski Park.

German American Sports Fest 2019: As part of the state program “Welcome to Rheinland-Pfalz! Our Neighbors from the USA”, the Union Community Weilerbach, the Atlantic Academy Rheinland-Pfalz, and the Sportbund Pfalz are proud to host the German American Sports Fest 2019 on Saturday, Aug. 24, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Westpfalzschule Weilerbach (In der Nasserde 30, Weilerbach). The German American Sports Fest will feature American sports like Baseball, Roller-Derby, Lacrosse, and Cheerleading but also sports popular in Germany like soccer, Volleyball, ping-pong, and more presented by local sports clubs. Families, children and everyone interested are invited to try out different sports on the spot, inform themselves, and get in contact with sports organizations. There will also be a bouncy castle and a variety of culinary offers on-site. No admission charge, the event is family friendly.

Rocky Horror Shadow Show Auditions: Be a part of the huge annual KMC OnStage Theater production of the Rocky Horror Shadow Show by auditioning for roles in the cult classic Sep. 9 & 10 from 6-8 p.m. at the KMC Onstage on Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3232. Come prepared for a cold read and vocal auditions along with learning short choreography. No experience is necessary. Casting 15 roles to include ensemble. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee: This hysterical and interactive show will be performed at the KMC OnStage Theater, Kleber Kaserne, Aug. 9 to 11, 16 to 18 and 23 to 25. Friday & Saturday shows begin at 7 p.m., Sunday Matinees start at 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the KMC OnStage on Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3232 and at all local Java Cafés. Family and MWR Community Expo: Summer Expo on Aug. 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., spend your lunch hour with Family and MWR celebrating summer. Speak with local representatives from throughout the community, learn about Family & MWR services and programs, and become acquainted with your new home. Enjoy a live DJ, lunch and cake provided by the USO, giveaways and the chance to win several great prizes, including the grand prize of $1,000 in European Travel through Army Outdoor Recreation. Young Frankenstein Auditions: Come be a part of the musical based on the 1974 comedy film written by the legendary Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder. Those auditioning will be asked to perform a cold read and vocal auditions along with learning short choreography. No experience necessary. Casting will be for multiple roles, plus an ensemble. Sew can you: For a limited time, Baumholder Arts & Crafts Center is offering sewing classes. This is a unique opportunity to learn sewing techniques that can save you money and make your home more sustainable! Our instructor will teach you to create fantastic eco-friendly reusable household items that can be and made with your favorite fabric and personal touch.
