Auditions: Big, the Musical: The Musical is an adaptation of the 1988 Tom Hanks film about a 12-year-old boy who wishes on a carnival machine to be bigger, in order to impress the object of his adolescent affections.  His wish is granted and he grows up overnight.  The play follows his journey as he copes with his new adulthood while hunting down the traveling carnival machine in order to wish himself back into his younger body.  Auditions will be held at KMC OnStage Theater, and require a prepared song, learned dance, and cold reading.  You may attend either day of the auditions on Oct. 1 & 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3232, 483-6626; 0631-411-6626.

9/11 Commemorative Run: On Sep. 7 at 9 a.m., join Baumholder Sports and Fitness to commemorate the tragic events of 9/11 and honor the lives lost by uniting as a community for a 5k walk/run.  Even in mourning, we are stronger together.  Patriotic attire is encouraged. Zombie 5k Fun Run: Run for your lives. Zombies have infested Smith Barracks and at 9 a.m. on Oct. 26, they’re coming for you on the Baumholder Sports and Fitness 5k fun run course.
