» The Rheinland-Pfalz International Choir rehearses from 7 to 9:15 p.m. Tuesdays in the Protestant community hall in Kaiserslautern-Erzhuetten. The choir is comprised of adults of all ages with German, American, Danish, British, French and Polish singers. The choir is known in Kaiserslautern for its participation with the U.S. Air Forces in Europe Band in the free annual Christmas concert that is scheduled for 8 p.m. today in Kaiserslautern’s concert hall, the Fruchthalle, on Fruchthallstrasse. Another concert is scheduled for 5 p.m. Sunday in the Catholic church in Queidersbach, Kirchstrasse 2. Those interested in joining rehearsals, visit www.sing-rpic.de/start-en.html.
» Christmas trees are being sold by the Donnersberg Forestry Office. Families can pick out and cut down their own tree from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in Hoeringen, direction Wackenbrunnerhof. Customers need to bring their own handsaw and wear gloves. There will be gluehwein, children’s punch and wild boar bratwurst. Trees already cut will be offered at the Romantic Forest Christmas from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in Sippersfeld, near the Retzbergweiher pond. Free transportation of trees will be offered. Vendors will sell Christmas items, bratwurst, baked apples, gluehwein and children’s punch.
» Holiday photos with Santa can be taken from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Dec. 19 and 20 and 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and Dec. 21 at the Candy Cane Lane in the Ramstein Community Center, Bldg. 412. Prices are $5 for a 4-by-6-inch photo with a keepsake photo cover or $4 for a candid photo with the customer’s own camera.

» PaintFest will take place from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at LRMC in the hallway in front of the hospital dining hall. Artists of all abilities are encouraged to participate in this fill-in-the blank painting to create their portion of a mural. Artists from the Foundation for Hospital Art will be there to offer guidance. When all of the six separate portions of the mural are completed, they will be combined and displayed at LRMC. » A Christmas tree market will offer various kinds of trees from different German regions Monday through Dec. 23 at the Messeplatz fairgrounds in Kaiserslautern. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
» Children dressed as the Three Holy Kings, from the Catholic and Protestant parishes in Ramstein-Miesenbach, will visit residents to sing, bless their homes and ask for donations between Christmas and Three Kings Day, Dec. 25 to Jan. 6. Residents who would like the children to visit their home should send an email with their exact address by Dec. 18 to Pfarramt.ramstein@bistum-speyer. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to a foundation in Flores, Indonesia, and street children in Laz Paz, Bolivia.
» Holiday Movie Day will be on Dec. 21 at the Rheinland-Pfalz Library in Landstuhl, Bldg. 3810, and the Kleber Branch Library, Bldg. 3205. The libraries will show holiday movies throughout the day during opening hours. Refreshments will be served. All ages are welcome. No registration required.
