» The German American and International Women’s Club Kaiserslautern will sponsor a Hungarian night at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the parish hall of Apostelkirche, Spitalstrasse 28 in Kaiserslautern. The event includes presentations of Hungarian folk dances, musical performances, traditional game with corn on the cob, a raffle and a Hungarian specialties buffet. Cost for members is €15; guests pay €18. Beverages are not included.

» A glow stick dance will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 24 at Landstuhl Youth Center, Bldg. 93812, as part of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Teens will have a chance to learn about unhealthy relationships, healthy boundaries and resources to contact for help. Free registration through Parent Central Services is highly encouraged. » St. Alban’s Episcopal Congregation holds its annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper 6 to 7 p.m Feb. 28 at the Ramstein Northside Chapel. This event is open to everyone in the KMC. At this last opportunity to “eat, drink and make merry” before Ash Wednesday, visitors can enjoy all the pancakes and sausages they like. Come on out and join in for good food and fellowship. Admission is free.

» Kaiserslautern Landstuhl Spouses’ Club will be holding a Bingo event for members and nonmembers from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 20 at Armstrong’s Club. Cost is $15 for appetizers and bingo cards, additional cards $1 or $5. Prizes include a designer purse, RTT Travel voucher and more. There will be door prizes as well! Armstrong’s Club Events

» Mardi Gras Party: 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Feb. 25. You don’t have to travel to celebrate Mardi Gras. Enjoy an indulgent good time at Armstrong’s Club on the last weekend before Fat Tuesday.

» A Taste of Germany: 5 p.m. every Monday at Castello’s Snack Bar inside of Armstrong’s Club. Indulge in traditional and delicious German meals for $5 per plate. The meals vary each week; menus available at www.kaiserslautern.armymwr.com.

» Women and Wine: 6 to 10 p.m. the first and third Monday of every month. This get together allows women to make friends and form a social network in a fun environment. Food and beverages available for purchase.

» Trivia Wednesdays: 7 to 10 p.m. every Wednesday.

» St. Patrick’s Country Night: 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. March 17. Celebrate like the Irish while listing to some good all-American Country music. Enjoy the great country atmosphere and take a spin on the mechanical bull. Cover charge: $5.

» Texas Hold ’em and Game Night: 8 p.m. to midnight every Friday. Buy-in is $25. Register and buy in by 7 p.m. Other games available for play include dominoes, cornhole and table pong.

» Country Night: 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturdays. There is a $5 cover charge.

» Country and Western Dance Classes: 7:30 p.m. the first Saturday of every month. No cover charge.

Support Groups

» A sexual assault support group meets at 2 p.m. every Friday in the Family Readiness Room of the 39th Transportation Battalion, Bldg. 3214, third floor, on Kleber Kaserne. This is a therapy and behavioral health process group for survivors of sexual assault and rape that occurred in adulthood. » Comfort Measures and Relaxation for Childbirth takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the first Wednesday of every month. Bring a partner or friend, water and wear comfortable clothes. Topics include: massage and acupressure, positions for labor, use of tools such as the birth ball, meditation and focusing techniques, aromatherapy, and hot and cold therapies. » Ramstein Toastmasters meet from noon to 1 p.m. every first, second and third Tuesday of the month at Ramstein South Chapel, Bldg. 2403. Individuals who want to develop their public speaking skills are welcome to visit the meetings free of charge. Participants can prepare for board interviews, promotional ceremonies or leadership roles. Public speaking skills or aspirations can be advanced and enhanced. Classes and Training

» Save and Invest will be held from 11 to 11:24 a.m. Wednesday on Kleber Kaserne in the Army Community Service conference room, Bldg. 3210. Learn the difference between saving and investing. » Take Control of Your Finances will take place from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Landstuhl Heaton Auditorium. Learn how to effectively manage personal budgets to prevent possible future monetary hardship. Plan for emergencies and plan for the future. Reduce debt. Baumholder Events

» An indoor flea market will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Hall of Champions Fitness Center, Bldg. 8105. Clean out your closet and sell your treasures at the this flea market. This is a great opportunity to clear some space or prepare for an upcoming move. If you are new to the community, you might find something you need for your new home. » Sponsorship Training will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Army Community Service on Clinic Kaserne, Bldg. 8747. This course will help you fulfill the role as a sponsor for incoming personnel. Units sending students to training are required to pre-register with ACS to ensure that a unit-specific sing-in roster is available. » Commanders and Senior Leaders Training will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. every second Thursday of the month in the Army Community Service building on Clinic Kaserne, Bldg. 8746. This training is a mandatory requirement within 45 days of assumption of command for all commanders and senior enlisted advisors E-7 through E-9. Receive information on the Family Advocacy Program, the Exceptional Family Member Program, the Army Substance Abuse Program, the Army Emergency Relief Program and how these programs can benefit Soldiers and their families.
