Stuffed Animal Sleepover: Tonight, at 6 p.m. bring your best buddy to the Rheinland-Pfalz Library. Children can enjoy a special storytime with their favorite stuffed friend, then tuck them in for their first library sleepover. When toys are left overnight, they come alive, and our photographers will be on hand to capture all of their adventures. Pick up your stuffed animal the following morning, 9 to 11 a.m. and enjoy the pictures of what they have been doing in your absence! No cost to participate. The state program “Welcome to Rheinland-Pfalz!” meets for its German-American Stammtisch at 6.30 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at the Paradox restaurant in Ramstein-Miesenbach. The Stammtisch aims at facilitating local German-American exchange and provides a great opportunity for Americans and locals to meet and get to know each other. The meeting is family friendly. BOOK GIVEAWAY: Free Book Bazaar in Kaiserslautern: The Atlantic Academy is partially dissolving its library and will offer a variety of books in English for free. Books include novels, non-fiction, books for children, coffee table photography books and much more and are available for pick-up from Jan. 21 to 23, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the office of the Atlantic Academy, Lauterstraße 2, 67657 Kaiserslautern, 3rd floor, room A302. KMC OnStage Studio Presents: Prelude To A Kiss: Experience the metaphysical romance that inspired the 1992 film starring Meg Ryan and Alec Baldwin. For Peter and Rita, it was love at first sight, and the journey to the altar was a swift one. A strange old man appears at the wedding, and asks to kiss the bride, and in so doing switches bodies with her. The events that follow are both comedic and thought provoking, as the couple navigates what happens to love at first sight, when the person you love no longer looks the same. Armstrong’s Club 2019 Birthday Bash: Capricorns and Aquariuses, it’s your month to shine and Armstrong’s Club is throwing a party in your honor. Don’t have a January birthday? Tavern on the Rock: This modern bar presents a laid back atmosphere with an upscale feel and look. By popular demand, we have now expanded our program to include Mic’ Lovin’ Karaoke every Friday night at Pinsetter’s Pub inside Strikers Bowling Center! With a diverse portfolio of music covering all major musical genres and eras, there’s a song for every flavor. Warrior Zone: What do you know about the Warrior Zone? The Warrior Zone is a facility that features a plethora of free services for Soldiers. The Warrior Zone hosts an array of events, including video gaming tournaments and movie marathons. Services include: free Wi-Fi and computer usage, free usage of XBOX 360, Ps3 and Wii console and games, free movie usage on HD equipment and more. BOSS holds regular meetings here where you can get the latest information about BOSS events and activities. The Warrior Zone is exclusively for Soldiers and their guests, ages 18 and over. League Night at Strikers Bowling Center: Every Friday from 6 p.m. to close, Strikers Bowling Center host a competitive bowling league. If you think you have what it takes to best the competition, talk to center staff about getting connected to the league commissioner.
