Intercultural Breakfast in Ramstein: The Ramstein Youth Office and the Union Community Ramstein host an “Intercultural Breakfast” on March 23 at the Congress Center Ramstein from 9 to 11.30 a.m. Everybody is invited to join this intercultural meeting, in order to have breakfast together and to get to know each other. Admission is free of charge. Participants are welcome to make a contribution to the breakfast by bringing a typical treat or specialty of their country. Contributions to the stage program, e.g. a traditional song or dance of your country of origin, are welcome as well. Games and activities are offered for children and there will be a varied stage program. Registration is required. Registration forms are available at the Ramstein Town Hall, the “Window to Rheinland-Pfalz” information counter at the KMCC and at the Ramstein Youth Office. William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing: Experience the original rom-com, live at KMC OnStage! This is Shakespearean classic, full of fast romance, clever hijinks, and a whole lot of happily ever afters. Rumors and evesdropping result in chaotic twist and turns for two couples, as Benedick and Beatrice are tricked into confessing their love for each other, and Claudio is tricked into rejecting his love, Hero, at the altar on the erroneous belief that she has been unfaithful. It takes twists, turns, and teamwork to unravel the truth, but Shakespeare ensures that all is well in the end and the audience is rewarded with an epic double wedding scene. KMC OnStage Auditions: Contagious Comedies — An Evening of One Acts: On Apr. 8 to 9 from 6 to 8 p.m., audition to be a part of the one-act shows that make KMC OnStage the Army’s most award-winning community theater program! This spring evening of one acts will focus on the lighter side of theater, with a line-up entirely comprised of knee-slapping, laugh-out-loud comedies. German story time at Rheinland-Pfalz Library: Give your child the advantage of being exposed to not only a wonderful story time, but exposure to our native host’s language.  This interactive and entertaining story time will be sure to delight and stimulate learning and development. Starting March 21 this entertaining story time will be held the third Thursday of every month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Rheinland-Pfalz Library. No sign-up required. Mic’ Lovin’ Karaoke at Pinsetter’s Pub: If there’s one thing that the Baumholder Military Community loves, it’s karaoke. By popular demand, we have now expanded our program to include Mic’ Lovin’ Karaoke every Friday night at Pinsetter’s Pub inside Strikers Bowling Center! With a diverse portfolio of music covering all major musical genres and eras, there’s a song for every flavor. Warrior Zone: What do you know about the Warrior Zone? The Warrior Zone is a facility that features a plethora of free services for Soldiers. The Warrior Zone hosts an array of events, including video gaming tournaments and movie marathons. Services include: free Wi-Fi and computer usage, free usage of XBOX 360, Ps3 and Wii console and games, free movie usage on HD equipment and more. BOSS holds regular meetings here where you can get the latest information about BOSS events and activities. The Warrior Zone is exclusively for Soldiers and their guests, ages 18 and over. Cookbook Club: At noon on the last Tuesday of the month, choose a cookbook from our collection, prepare a recipe from it at home to share, and let the rest of the club know if you’d recommend the book to them.  No registration is required for this free event. League Night at Strikers Bowling Center: Every Friday from 6 p.m. to close, Strikers Bowling Center host a competitive bowling league. If you think you have what it takes to best the competition, talk to center staff about getting connected to the league commissioner. Lots of fun prizes are awarded at the end of each competition season. During this time, there are limited lanes available for general public use.
