21st TSC hosts 2018 European Sustainment Ball: The 21st Theater Sustainment Command will be hosting its European Sustainment Ball, April 14. The event will be hosted by Maj. Gen. Steven A. Shapiro, 21st TSC commander, at the Officer’s Club at Ramstein Air Base. The event will start at 5 p.m. Tickets are on sale now until April 2. Prices are based by pay grade. Tickets for E-4 and below as well as GS 1-4 is $30. E-5 and E-6 as well as GS 5-6 is $45. The price for E-7 and above, GS-7 and above and all officers is $55. There will be four different meal choices, including beef, chicken, vegetarian and vegan. The dress is formal wear with bow tie.

71st Air Force Ball Fundraiser: The Belgium Unit is hosting the Air Force Ball Fundraiser at the Belgium Unit BBQ Pit on March 22 where you can buy hotdogs and chips for $3.75

Guided tours of the Abbey Church in Otterberg, in German, will be offered the first Sunday of each month. Interested participants will meet at 2:30 p.m. at the main entrance of the church. The one-hour long tour costs €3.

The old smithy in Otterberg, Kirchstrasse, will be open to the public at 4 p.m. every first Saturday of the month. Admission is free.

The museum in Otterberg, which is located in the tourist information office, Hauptstrasse 54, is open during 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, and 3 to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free.

Armstrong’s Club Events

Armstrong’s Club is located in Bldg. 1036 on Vogelweh Family Housing. Call 0631-3406-3993 for details. Unless otherwise stated, events have no cover charge and are open to all ID cardholders and their guests, 18 and over.

St. Patrick’s Day Party On Mar. 17, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Armstrong’s Club featuring a live DJ, green beer and other drink specials from 9 p.m. No cover charge. Open to ID cardholders and their guests, ages 18 and older. Food and beverages available for purchase.

The Armstrong’s Challenge: Army vs. Air Force: On Mar. 24, 9p.m., join the Armstrong’s Club for a night of Army vs. Air Force rivalry fun. Bring your squadron/unit and compete for the Armstrong’s Challenge title. Challenge includes multiple events: darts, water pong, foosball, a pool tournament and more! Kaiserslautern Landstuhl Spouses Association: The KLSA Club gather every 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Armstrong Club from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch and social. All contracted, military, and civilian spouses welcome.

KMC Onstage

Inherit the Wind: Don’t miss KMC Onstage’s production of this timeless, science vs. religion story. The accused was a slight, frightened man who had deliberately broken the law. His trial was a Roman circus. The chief gladiators were two great legal giants of the century. Like two bull elephants locked in mortal combat, they bellowed and roared imprecations and abuse. The spectators sat uneasily in the sweltering heat with murder in their hearts, barely able to restrain themselves. At stake was the freedom of every American. This play is based on the evolution trials of the 1920s, but its central theme — the pursuit of intellectual freedom — is just as relevant today as it was 100 years ago. Evening performance dates: 7 p.m. March 23 to 24, and April 13, 14, 20 and 21; and 3 p.m. Sunday matinees March 25, and April 15 and 22. Tickets available at KMC Onstage, online through

Wild Women of Comedy: On Tuesday, experience the Wild Women of Comedy tour at Kazabra Club. The Wild Women of Comedy tour is a diverse group of standup comedians sharing their unique comedic perspectives on all things observational and autobiographical. All women have late night credits, comedy albums or TV credits. Comedians include: Vicky Kuperman, Kyle Ocasio, Carmen Lynch, Robyn Schall, and Joanne Filan. So, grab your gals and don’t miss what’s sure to be a laughter-filled evening. 7 p.m. No entry fee.

Country Time St. Patrick’s Day Party: On March 17, Kazabra is putting a green twist on their traditional Country Night. Come dance the night away in your best St. Patrick duds for a chance to win some green. And you’ll have the opportunity to drink some green, too. Pong, pool and Cards Against Humanity will also be at the party. Cover: $5. No registration required.

Texas Hold’em and Game Night: 8 p.m. to midnight every Friday. Buy-in is $50. Register and buy in by 7 p.m. Other games available for play include dominoes, cornhole and table pong.

Country Night: 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturdays. There is a $5 cover charge.

Country and Western Dance Classes: 7:30 p.m. the first Saturday of every month. No cover charge.

Sunday Bingo: 3 p.m. every Sunday. Doors open at 1 p.m. Bingo packs start at $30. Prizes will be based upon participation. Play the progressive game for a chance to win up to $5,000.

Kazabra Club Room Rental: Private rooms and meeting spaces are available for rent and can be modified to accommodate any special event at the Kazabra Club. Meetings

The state initiative “Welcome to Rheinland-Pfalz!” meets for its German-American Stammtisch at 6.30 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at the Paradox restaurant in Ramstein-Miesenbach. The Stammtisch aims at facilitating the local German-American exchange and provides a great opportunity for Americans and locals to meet and get to know each other. The meeting is family friendly. The Kaiserslautern-West Pfalz Ski Club meets 6:30 to 8 p.m. the first and third Wednesday of each monthat the Bistorante Paradox in Ramstein-Miesenbach.

The Tannenbaum Ski Club meets 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. the first and third Wednesday of each month, at the Belgian Club, Bldg. 308 on Ramstein Air Base.

Ramstein Toastmasters will meet every first, second and third Tuesday of the month from noon to 1 p.m. at the Ramstein South Chapel, Bldg. 2403. Baumholder Events

“The Rock” Superstar” Karaoke Competition: Throughout the month of March our weekly karaoke programs at Pinsetter’s Pub on Fridays and Tavern on the Rock on Saturdays will be hosting a reality show-style competition. Perform for the judges in any of our qualifying events for a chance to compete in our final competition on March 31. Competition is for solo performers only, not groups or duets. The judge panelists will have score sheets for each contestant and scores will be awarded for pitch, timing, appearance, and overall showmanship. No cover. St. Patrick’s Party at Pinsetter’s Pub: Try you luck in the pong tournament at you neighborhood dive bar, Pinsetter’s Pub, during our St. Patrick’s Party on Mar. 17. St. Patty’s Fun Run: On March 16, at 9 a.m., bring the festive spirit of St. Patrick’s Day to your fitness routine with a mean green community 5k. If you’re lucky like the Irish, you could score a medal in the men’s, women’s, children, stroller, or canine division. This means, of course, that this run is stroller and dog friendly.
