Military Fashion Show – Casting Call: KMC OnStage Theater is hosting a casting call for their Military Fashion Show. The casting call will be held at the KMC OnStage Theater on Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3232 from 6 to 8 p.m. on May 20 & 21 and is open to males and females of all sizes ages 18 and over. KMC OnStage Presents Freckleface Strawberry: Bring the whole family out to enjoy the musical that is based on the cherished New York Times best-selling book by Julianne Moore. With the help of her lovable classmates who range from everything from a talented ballerina, the class ditz, even the cute jock boy, Freckleface learns that everyone has their unique thing and that is what makes everyone special. Performances are scheduled for May 24, 25, 31 and June 1, 7, 8 at 7 p.m. May 26 and June 2, 9 at 1 p.m. All performances will he held at the KMC OnStage Theater on Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 2100. German-American Art Exhibit: Communities in Living Color: On Wed., May 22, at 5 p.m. the state program “Welcome to Rheinland-Pfalz” will host the opening of the Art Exhibition: Communities in Living Color in the foyer of the Ramstein town hall in cooperation with the city of Ramstein, the Atlantic Academy, and the German-American Community Office. The exhibit runs through June 6, and is accessible during regular opening hours of the town hall. The German American art show displays a variety of art works, all created by incredibly talented young students from local German and DoDD schools. Women’s World Cup Soccer at Halftime Sports Bar & Wings: Join your friends at Halftime Sports Bar & Wings for the eighth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France. Games start June 7 with the final game on July 7. Watch the top 24 women’s teams battle it out for the title of World Cup Champion. Asperger’s are Us at Halftime Sports Bar & Wings: On June 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Exceptional Family Member Program brings the stars of a hit Netflix documentary to Halftime Sports Bar & Wings for a free comedy show! Asperger’s Are Us is the world’s first comedy troupe comprised entirely of men on the autism spectrum. In addition to being hilarious, their unique performances highlight the value of neurodiversity – people who have different ways of thinking and processing the world, and in this case, different ways of making us laugh. This event is open to all community members however, humor may not be appropriate for children under 16 years of age. Color Run: What better way to promote the Emergency Placement Care Program and community resilience than with this amazing community event! May 18 at the Hall of Champions in Baumholder, Bldg. 8105, come out with your friends and family to support this amazing cause with the race from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will also be FRG’s PO’s and units manning booths with activities like bounce houses, dunk tanks, and of course, yummy food! The Rock’ Superstar” Karaoke Competition: So you wanna be “The Rock” superstar? Now until to June 8, our weekly karaoke programs at Pinsetter’s Pub on Fridays and Tavern on the Rock on Saturdays will be hosting a reality-show-style competition! Perform for the judges in any of our qualifying events for a chance to compete in our Finale competition on June 8. Competition is for solo performers only, not groups or duets. The judge panelists will have score sheets for each contestant grading for pitch, timing, appearance, and overall showmanship. No cover. Celebrate World Watercolor Month with the Arts & Crafts Center: July is World Watercolor Month and the Arts & Crafts Center on Smith Bks. has a whole month of amazing activities planned to celebrate! During normal business hours you can simply walk in and for $4 each, create a fan, lantern, boat or pinwheel project from painting to assembly. Watercolor painting projects available are butterfly, zebra, bird, leaf flowers and sea animals. Want to make it a family event? July 18 & 19 will be Family Night where the whole family (up to four people) will get to pick a project each for $12.
