Thanksgiving Brunch: Join us in celebrating this day of thanks on Nov. 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Who said you have to spend all day in the kitchen? Bring your friends and family to enjoy all of the classics and favorites from home, without the mess and fuss.  All ID cardholders and their guests are invited. Last Minute Mini Bazaar: Good news – there is still time to get your Christmas shopping done! Find unique European treasures at the Last Minute Mini Bazaar held in Heaton Hall Auditorium, Dec. 2-5. Polar Express: The USAG RP Library Landstuhl & CYS are hosting a festive winter party on Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Landstuhl Youth Center, Landstuhl, Bldg. 93812. Enjoy a warm cup of hot cocoa and get creative with several make and take activities. Join our conductor for a Polar ride on the train through the wintery wonderland and visit with our jolly old elf. There will also be the chance to enter to win a roundtrip ticket to CONUS. This free event is open to all ID cardholders and their guests, no registration required. Elf, the Musical Jr.: You only have two weekends to catch Elf, the Musical Jr. where you can follow Buddy the Elf on his adventure to find his dad. The comedic and heartwarming performances will be performed at the KMC Onstage on Kleber Kaserne Dec. 6-8 and 13-15. A Gatsby New Year: “…I like large parties. They’re so intimate.” Welcome the New Year in Gatsby style complete with appetizers and a champagne toast at midnight. Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark Auditions: What would you do if you had a treehouse that could transport you anywhere you wanted to go? See dinosaurs of course! Auditions for this youth-only cast (ages 6-18 only) will be held Jan. 14 & 15 from 5-8 p.m. at the KCAC on Daenner Kaserne, Bldg. 3109 and will require a cold read with vocal auditions along with learning short choreography. Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark: You won’t want to miss the final KMC Onstage Youth performance of the season, Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark. This adventurous play is the adaptation of the first of Mary Pope Osborne’s award-winning fantasy adventure books from the Magic Tree House book series that brings you to the time of dinosaurs through the magical powers of a treehouse. Performances are March 13-15, 20-22, & 27-29. Holiday Magic: Celebrate the magic of the season Dec. 5 starting at 6 p.m. with the official tree-lighting at Baumholder Headquarters. Follow Santa on his Holiday Magic Train to the Hall of Champions where beginning at 6:30 p.m. you can get pictures with the jolly old man himself as well as enjoy food, train rides, arts & crafts, various children’s activities of which also includes cookie decorating. Aquatic Center Movie Nights: What is more fun than a family movie night? Making a splash of it and having family movie night in the pool! Starting Mar. 14 Movie Nights at the Aquatic Center will start at 7 p.m. and end around 9 p.m. Mark your calendars for the second Sat of the month: Mar. 14, Apr. 11, May 9, June 13, July 11, Aug. 8, Sep. 12, Oct. 10, & Nov. 14. Holiday Open House at the Arts & Crafts Center: Get to feeling festive with your local Arts & Crafts Center Dec. 7 from 1-5 p.m. where you and your family can get in the holiday spirit by enjoying pictures with Santa you can take yourself and have printed right onsite at the photo kiosk as well as ceramic Christmas ornaments/bisque painting. Take advantage of gift-wrapping services available from FRG members to tackle all the gifts you can bring, various DIY ornament crafts for the whole family that will be available to complete at home or in one of the classrooms, even build and decorate your own gingerbread house while supplies last.
