» The Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Holiday Bazaar will take place Nov. 6 to 8 at the Special Events Center on Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Bldg, 237. » The Ramstein Community Center is holding it’s annual Pumpkin Chuckin’ Contest and it’s time to register. Get your imagination in gear and design your own catapult for the contest taking place at 1 p.m. Nov. 7. Participants must provide their own launchers and pumpkins. » Introduction to Sewing: 1 to 3 p.m. every Saturday through Nov. 21. Decorated, experienced costume volunteers teach you how to sew. Cost: $75 per student; $50 if you use your own sewing machine. Open to ages 12 and older; children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

» K-town Coverall Bingo: 3 p.m. every Sunday play progressive bingo to win up to $7,500. New players get a free card with the purchase of a bingo pack or bring a new player and both players receive a free card with the purchase of any bingo pack.

» A Breast-feeding support group meets every Tuesday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Join other moms and dads for this informational class about breast-feeding, sleeping and normal newborn behavior. » The Rheinland-Pfalz Quilt Guild meets from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Friday at the Ramstein South Side Chapel for a “Stitch and Gab.” Participants can join in and bring their latest projects while spending time with fellow stitchers and getting some “quilt therapy.” For more information, visit www.rpqg.eu.

» An Emergency Placement Care informational meeting is from 1 to 2 p.m. every third Wednesday of every month on Pulaski Barracks, Bldg. 2917. Classes and Training

» Commanders and senior leaders training is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m the first Thursday of every month. This training is a mandatory requirement within 45 days of assumption of command for all commanders and senior enlisted advisers, E7-E9. Receive information on the Family Advocacy Program, the Exceptional Family Member Program and the Army Emergency Relief Program. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion. » Conversational German courses are offered in two levels: beginner and intermediate. Participants will gain a better understanding of the written and verbal German language. » The Spooky Town Bash that was scheduled for Saturday in Rheinlander Convention Center has been cancelled.

» A Community Baby Shower takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Rheinlander Convention Center on Smith Barracks, Bldg. 8085, for all expecting mothers in the Kaiserslautern and Baumholder communities, as well as families with infants up to 6 months of age. Car seat safety checks will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Space is limited; reservations are recommended. Prizes will be raffled off; earn raffle tickets by attending New Parent Support Program classes.
