» Join the Army Community Service Family Advocacy Program for the Purple Gala to raise awareness about domestic violence. This year’s theme is “All people working together can end domestic abuse.” Speak up and be part of the solution. The event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 21 at Armstrong’s Club on Vogelweh Housing, Bldg. 1036. Come together for a great cause, hear inspirational speeches by local representatives and wear purple to promote domestic violence awareness. Semiformal dress is required, no military uniforms. This is the perfect opportunity to get your shopping finished before the holidays. » Vehicle Safety Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Pulaski Automotive Skills Center, Bldg. 2859. Make sure that your vehicle fits all of the safety standards to ensure that you stay safe on the roads. Free vehicle safety inspections will be offered in celebration of Vehicle Safety Day. Mechanics will spend a minimum of 10 minutes per vehicle and review all components to ensure your vehicle can properly pass an inspection and drive safely on the road. Open to all ID cardholders. » The U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Job Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 18 at Kazabra Club on Vogelweh, Bldg. 2057. This job fair will allow job seekers to make contact with employers who have positions to fill. Department of Defense contractors and government agencies will be present. » Letting Go — Tips and Techniques to Tame Your Temper will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Oct. 19 on Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3201. This two-part series explores what anger and aggression are and their differences. Learn how to recognize cues and triggers of anger as well as how to appropriately express this emotion. » Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation is offering free vehicle safety checks as part of the Winter Safety Day event from 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Mechanics will spend a minimum of 10 minutes per vehicle and review all components to ensure that your vehicle can properly pass an inspection and to better prepare you for winter driving. Open to ID cardholders with a U.S. Army Europe-plated vehicle. No registration is required, just swing by Automotive Skills Center with your vehicle for a free safety check. » Better Opportunities for Single Service Members hosts a Halloween party at 7 p.m. Oct. 28. The night will feature Halloween-themed games, food and beverages, and a costume party. » Commanders and Senior Leaders Training will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday. This training is a mandatory requirement within 45 days of assumption of command for all commanders and senior enlisted advisors E-7 through E-9.
