Family and MWR Community Expo: Trick-or-Treat Edition: On Oct. 11, kick-off the Halloween season and spend your lunch hour with your friends at the Family and MWR Community Expo! Enjoy giveaways and the chance to win a dozen great prizes, including the grand prize of $1,000 in European Travel through Army Outdoor Recreation! Speak with local representatives from throughout the community, and learn about Family & MWR services and programs. This is a great opportunity to meet new friends and become acquainted with the local area. Sweeney Todd: A KMC Onstage Production: This Halloween season, KMC OnStage Theater brings to life Sweeney Todd, a bloody theatrical treat that won 8 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, in its Broadway debut.  This is a revenge tale with an undercurrent of dark romance, as the title character goes on a killing spree to avenge a love he thought he’d lost. Featuring the most chilling soundtrack in the history of the stage, this masterpiece has thrilled and delighted audiences the world over. Not So-Spooky Halloween Storytime: On Oct. 31 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., put on your costume and get ready for not-so-spooky Halloween activities, including stories, crafts, and trick-or-treat! Vendors from all over Europe will showcase jewelry, furniture & home décor, rugs, cuckoo & grandfather clocks, wine, cheese & Belgian chocolate, holiday ornaments & decorations, Polish Pottery … the list goes on. Parent and Child Art Night Out: Join us for a night of painting with your kids. Have fun painting together for a night and take home a beautiful family keepsake to treasure forever! This parent and child painting class is designed for you and your child to have a night out together and have some fun. Absolutely NO painting skill is required. We will guide you throughout the whole process! $35.00 for one adult and one child age 5 to 18 (includes all supplies for painting). “Sew & Tell” Classes: For a limited time, Baumholder Arts & Crafts Center is offering sewing classes. This is a unique opportunity to learn sewing techniques that can save you money and make your home more sustainable. Lisa will teach you to create fantastic eco-friendly household items that can be re-used time and time again and made with your favorite fabric and personal touch.  Two separate classes will be offered per item. Friday classes are 11 a.m. to 1 pm., Saturday classes are 1 to 3 p.m. Items and dates are as follows: Oct. 12 and 13 Tooth Fairy Pillows. Nov. 2 and 3 Stockings. Dec. 7 and 8 Passport Holders.
