An Evening of One Acts: Enjoy our first production of the 2018-2019 season, the studio show “An Evening of One Acts.” Our one act shows consistently compete for (and win) awards for being among the best studio performances in all of Army Europe. The one act plays we have selected for this season are as follows: All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Go, Alexander the Great, Barking at Butterflies, Hattie’s Hubcaps, A Chill in My Bones, And Twice of Sunday. Performances are schedule for today, Sat at 7 p.m. & Sun at 1 p.m. All performances will be held in the Kaiserslautern Community Activity Center on Daenner Kaserne, Bldg. 3109.

Auditions: Big, the Musical: The Musical is an adaptation of the 1988 Tom Hanks film about a 12-year-old boy who wishes on a carnival machine to be bigger, in order to impress the object of his adolescent affections. His wish is granted and he grows up overnight. The play follows his journey as he copes with his new adulthood while hunting down the traveling carnival machine in order to wish himself back into his younger body. Auditions will be held at KMC OnStage Theater, and require a prepared song, learned dance, and cold reading. Thomas the Tank Engine: On Saturday, join the Rheinland-Pfalz Library for all things with Thomas the Tank engine. There will be crafts, train themed activities and stories! Army MWR Hiring Fair: Are you looking for a job? Come join us at the Army MWR Hiring Fair at the Landstuhl Youth Center, Bldg. 93812 on Sept. 25, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. where we will be hiring for the Kaiserslautern and Baumholder area. Baumholder

Parent and Child Art Night Out: Join us for a night of painting with your kids! Have fun painting together for a night and take home a beautiful family keepsake to treasure forever! This parent and child painting class is designed for you and your child to have a night out together and have some fun. Absolutely NO painting skill is required! We will guide you throughout the whole process! $35.00 for one adult and one child age 5 to 18 (includes all supplies for painting). Bottled drinks & snack packs will be provided. Zombie 5k Fun Run: Run for your lives. Zombies have infested Smith Barracks and at 9 a.m. on Oct. 26, they’re coming for you on the Baumholder Sports and Fitness 5k fun run course. Come in your Halloween costume or dress as a zombie so that they think you’re one of them. Registration opens at 8 a.m. the day of the race. Race begins and ends at Hall of Champions Fitness Center.
