Dog Jog: The next Family and MWR Sports & Fitness fun run is all about the dogs of our military community, and the humans who love them! On Sep. 14, bring your furry family member to the Rhine Ordnance Barracks Special Event Center. Registration is open from 8-9 a.m., and the run will begin at 9:30 a.m. Dogs must be on a leash and friendly. Registration is $7 for adults, free for children and fur babies. The first 100 registrants receive a free t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for the top finishers in three categories of dog (small, medium, and large) and will receive a dog appropriate prize! September Room Rental Special at Kazabra Club: Take advantage the whole month of September with free room rental at Kazabra Club. This large versatile space is great for events of all sorts from birthday parties, baby showers to unit functions. Rocky Horror Shadow Show Auditions: Be a part of the huge annual KMC OnStage Theater production of the Rocky Horror Shadow Show by auditioning for roles in the cult classic Sep. 9 & 10 from 6-8 p.m. at the KMC Onstage on Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3232. Come prepared for a cold read and vocal auditions along with learning short choreography. No experience is necessary. Casting 15 roles to include ensemble. Dial “M” for Murder: KMC Onstage Studio Shows presents Dial “M” for Murder, a classic murder story with the intriguing style of Alfred Hitchcock’s Film of the same name. Performances are at the KCAC on Daenner Kaserne, Bldg. 3109, on Sep. 20-22 and 27-29. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7 pm. Sunday performances are at 3 pm. Halloween Party at Armstrong’s Club: Mark your calendars and make sure you have the best costume of them all because Armstrong’s Club is hosting the biggest Halloween party in the area and there are cash prizes are to be won! Saturday, Oct. 26 doors open at 9 p.m. and the party will rage until 2 a.m. Open to all ID cardholders and their guests ages 18 and over. Domestic Violence Awareness Month: October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and therewith Army Community Services will be hosting events throughout the community to raise awareness. Oct. 1: Domestic Violence Awareness Month Kickoff at the KMCC Food Court on Ramstein beginning at noon to include a moment of silence. College Night: Calling all high school students! Can’t get back to the states to tour college campuses? No problem! On Sep. 25 from 6-8:30 p.m., join 1,000+ of your peers from military installations around Europe to meet representatives from a diverse group of over 80 colleges and universities. Baumholder
Baumholder Community Yard Sale: Baumholder Military Community will host a community-wide yard sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 7 at Smith Barracks and Wetzel housing areas and the Rheinlander Parking Lot. The yard sale is open to U.S. ID cardholders. Sales are for used items, not home-based business or private organization sales. Off-post residents may set up in the Rheinlander Parking Lot. No registration required.

Splash Days at the Aquatic Center: You won’t want to miss the Aquatic Center turning into an aquatic obstacle course for the day. Sep. 28, Nov. 2 the new WiBit Track is getting blown up for everyone to enjoy from noon until 4 p.m. Entry is $3 per person. 9/11 Commemorative Run: On Sep. 6 at 9 a.m., join Baumholder Sports and Fitness to commemorate the tragic events of 9/11 and honor the lives lost by uniting as a community for a 5k walk/run. Even in mourning, we are stronger together. Patriotic attire is encouraged, leashed pets are welcome. Registration begins at 8 a.m. the day of the race with awards given to first, second and third place men, women, and youth. No cost to participate. Makermania: Beginning Sep. 14 come create, experiment, imagine and have a fun morning with the Baumholder Library every second Saturday of the month at noon. Each month will focus on a science, technology, engineering, art and or math theme. All ages are welcome as age appropriate activities are available from toddlers to adults. Some of the fun materials that will be featured include, 3D pens, Ozobots, Squishy Circuits, Makedo, Cubelets, Picasso Tiles, and modelling clay.
