Farmer’s Market in Schneckenhausen: On Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Schneckenhausen will host a Farmer’s Market at the Schneckenhausen Village Center. Various booths will offer culinary delicacies, homemade regional products, as well as arts and crafts. Army MWR Hiring Fair: Are you looking for a job? Come join us at the Army MWR Hiring Fair at the Landstuhl Youth Center, Bldg. 93812 on Sept. 25, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. We will be hiring for the Kaiserslautern and Baumholder area. Auditions: Big, the Musical: The Musical is an adaptation of the 1988 Tom Hanks film about a 12-year-old boy who wishes on a carnival machine to be bigger, in order to impress the object of his adolescent affections. His wish is granted and he grows up overnight. The play follows his journey as he copes with his new adulthood while hunting down the traveling carnival machine in order to wish himself back into his younger body. Auditions will be held at KMC OnStage Theater, and require a prepared song, learned dance, and cold reading. College Night: On Oct. 4 from 6 to 8:30 p.m., join 1,000+ of your peers from military installations around Europe to meet representatives from a diverse group of over 80 colleges and universities. Grand Opening: Landstuhl Automotive Skills Center: Landstuhl Automotive Skills Center is opening a new building with additional services to better serve you! We will now be offering welding services, steam cleaning services, and alignment services. On Oct. 5, the USO will be helping us cut the ribbon on the new facility, distributing 200 free hot dogs and bringing out their popular popcorn machine! Parent and Child Art Night Out: Join us for a night of painting with your kids. Have fun painting together for a night and take home a beautiful family keepsake to treasure forever! This parent and child painting class is designed for you and your child to have a night out together and have some fun. Absolutely NO painting skill is required. We will guide you throughout the whole process! $35.00 for one adult and one child age 5 to 18 (includes all supplies for painting). “Sew & Tell” Classes: For a limited time, Baumholder Arts & Crafts Center is offering sewing classes. This is a unique opportunity to learn sewing techniques that can save you money and make your home more sustainable. Lisa will teach you to create fantastic eco-friendly household items that can be re-used time and time again and made with your favorite fabric and personal touch.  Two separate classes will be offered per item. Friday classes are 11 a.m.-1 pm., Saturday classes are 1-3 p.m. Items and dates are as follows: Oct. 12 and 13 Tooth Fairy Pillows. Nov. 2 and 3 Stockings. Dec. 7 and 8 Passport Holders.
