Civil Engineers’ Corner
Burn ban in place
The lack of rainfall has caused severe dry conditions on and off base. The Kaiserslautern area is under a burn ban until further notice. Refrain from using “Chimeneas,” wood burning pits, and other open flame appliances. Ambers that escape from these can reach forest areas and start a fire. Use of propane and charcoal barbecues are permitted. For assistance, call the KMC Fire Prevention Division at 480-5940. To report a fire, dial 112.
