Month of the military child:April events

In recognition of the Month of the Military Child, the U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern’s Army Community Service hosts an Easter Egg hunt for children 6-years-old and under, and a scavenger hunt for children older than 6, 2 to 5 p.m. at the Kids Zone, Bldg. 2895 on Pulaski Barracks. There will also be an opportunity to have your family photographed with the Easter Bunny. For details, call 489-7521.  

The U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern’s Child Development Center, Bldg. 1314 on Miesau Army Depot, is hosting several events for the Month of the Military Child. For details, call 481-3774.

4 – Mommy and Me day, 2 p.m. – a day for children to have a tea party with their moms

8, 10 and 12 – Special Story times, 2 p.m. – crafts for school-age children

9 – Parade, 10 a.m. – children will make instruments and have a parade around Miesau Army Depot

11 – Puppet show, 9 a.m. – at the library, Bldg. 1324 on Miesau Army Depot

18 – Pre-school concert, 10:20 a.m. – children will put on a small concert and act out a book for parents

18 – Night  Story Time, 7 p.m. – for pre-school to second grade

19 – Solve a Mystery Special, 3:30 p.m. – for middle school children

20 – Solve a Mystery Special, 6 p.m. – for teens

23 – Parent and Child art day, 10:30 to 11 a.m., and 2:15 to 2:30 p.m. – children will have the opportunity to make special art with their parents

25 – Children’s field trip, 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. – to Kaiserslautern American High School to watch a music class and explore musical instruments

26 – Family barbecue, 11 to 11:30 a.m. –  Children will spend time having lunch and taking pictures with their parents
