Northside Post Office resumes operations Monday in new Bldg

by Tech. Sgt. Itzia Caban
86th Communications Squadron

After operating for more than four months at the old BX on Ramstein, the Northside Post Office will resume operations Monday at its primary location in
Bldg. 426 (next to the Woodlawn Golf Course).

The move will require the physical relocation of more than 10,000 mail receptacles, hundreds of parcels and all postal equipment.  The entire move will take approximately three days, at which time customers will be unable to access their mailboxes.

The old BX doors were locked Thursday, and will re-open for business in
Bldg. 426 at 10 a.m. Monday. Until then, all services will be suspended for Northside Post Office patrons; however, customers will still
have the option of mailing packages on Saturday by utilizing the Kapaun Post Office or Army postal finance sections, located on Landstuhl, Rhine Ordnance Barracks and Kleber Kaserne. Customers with mailboxes at the Southside or Kapaun post offices are not affected by this move.
