Operation Season’s Greetings is comin’ to town

It’s that time of the year again when Operation Season’s Greetings comes to town.

This year’s show brings in country music sensation Jamie O’Neal, who charmed Ramstein last year with her sweet vocals and songs including, “There is no Arizona” and “When I think about Angels.” But, this country gal also has sass and knows how to get the crowd on its feet when she belts out songs like, “Trying to Find Atlantis.”

The Operation Season’s Greetings tour, sponsored by Headquarters U.S. Air Forces in Europe at Ramstein and Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command in Georgia, offers free shows for servicemembers and their families overseas.

Four members of the New England Patriots Cheerleaders will kick the show into action with their eye-catching dance moves.

This year the show adds a little Latin spice with a performance by Melina León, who will perform with the band of the U.S. Air Force Reserve and the U.S. Air Forces in Europe band, playing well-known rock-and-roll, rap and contemporary favorites.

Ms. León, a Puerto Rican singer, made her first record in 1997 and since then has topped the Puerto Rican music charts.

Volunteers are needed Nov. 28 to Dec. 1 to help with bag drag, production set up and tear down. For time and location, contact Donna Burrill at 480-6043 or e-mail donna.burrill@ramstein.af.mil.
