Each year, the Easter egg market in Siegelbach lures plenty of interested visitors to the Westpfalz Werkstaetten.

Easter markets and displays are scheduled to take place in the coming weeks.

The first Easter market in the area this year will be the 21st annual Easter egg display from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Westpfalz Werkstaetten in Siegelbach.

About 20 hobby artists will present traditional and modern arts Easter eggs. Visitors can watch the artists presenting their techniques.

The traditional eggs show engravings, wax, straw and pearl applications. Modern techniques feature marbled eggs or eggs turned into little art works by painting them with oil and water colors.

Other artists available will be a glass blower and a turner.

All objects on display can be bought. Decorative prizes can be won in a raffle.

Snacks, homemade cakes, coffee and beverages will be offered in the cafeteria. All net profits will go to the Westpfalz Werkstätten, which is a sheltered workshop for people with disabilities.

The workshop is located in Kaiserslautern-Siegelbach, Sauerwiesen 18.
