Bastogne Memorial March

Dec 14

Cost: $69 per person

March in memory of those who fought and died during the Battle of the Bulge in Bastogne, Belgium. This international memorial march is a solemn tribute to the sacrifice of thousands of soldiers, each of whom, in the words of General Dwight D Eisenhower, “died as a member of a team to which you belong, bound together by a common love of liberty and a refusal to submit to enslavement.” After participating in the march, you will still have time to visit the Mardasson Monument and many other monuments to individual soldiers. The end of day ceremonies in Bastogne includes a wreath-laying ceremony and the traditional nut toss. Remember the fallen. Reserve your slot on this memorial march with Baumholder Outdoor Recreation today!

Trip Includes: Round trip tour bus transportation, free hot beverages on the route, route map, booklet, and souvenir patch.

Brussels Christmas Market

Dec. 21-22

Cost: Adults $79, children under 12: $59

Dazzle your senses at the Winter Wonders Festival in Brussels, Belgium!  To call the Brussels Christmas Market anything less than a winter wonderland doesn’t do the festival justice. The Winter Wonders Festival animates the heart of Brussels with a massive light and sound show, instead of simply Christmas lights. The festival stretches from the Grand Place to Saint Catherine Place and beyond. There, you will find a Christmas market with over 200 stalls, a giant Ferris wheel, carousels, a huge ice skating rink, rides, and ice monsters. Enjoy Belgian chocolates and waffles while searching for that perfect Christmas gift. Be mesmerized by the moving lights and changing patterns on the local landmarks while you shop in the enormous market. When you are ready to see more of the city you can see Mannekin Pis, sample Belgian brewing at the Delirium Café, and do so much more. Spaces on this holiday trip are limited. Reserve yours today at Baumholder Outdoor Recreation!

Trip Includes: Round trip tour bus transportation, free digital travel guide book downloaded from Army libraries.
