Pfalztheater sponsors fest Saturday to open new play season


The Pfalztheater in Kaiserslautern opens its doors again to the audience Saturday.  The ensemble lures visitors with a theater fest Saturday. An entertaining program that represents the diversity of the theater will be offered.

***image1***The event starts with a ballet rehearsal at 2 p.m. followed by a medieval show at 4 p.m. in the main performance room. The traditional opening concert with pieces from performances that are scheduled for the new season begins at 8 p.m.

The ABBA Revival rehearsal takes place at 2:30 p.m. on the workshop stage. A variety of workshops lure talented actors and singers of all ages.

The gingerbread man offers guided tours for children at 3 p.m. To register for those, stop at the information stand. Children can also have their faces painted, participate in painting backgrounds, jump on jumping castles and try to score goals.

The theater café in the foyer takes care of visitors’ hunger and thirst. Information on tickets and the new theater season is available in the foyer as well.

A costume auction presents all kinds of theater costumes at 6 p.m.
The night program starting at 10 p.m. presents parts of “Romeo and Juliette,” which officially premieres Oct. 6.

The disc jockeys Bruckschen and Kespohl invite the audience to dance until after midnight.
