Police Week: KMC police services are a force to be reckoned with

Airmen fold an American flag in recognition of fallen U.S. armed forces police services members during a Police Week 2018 retreat ceremony May 18 on Vogelweh Air Station. Airmen retired the flag according to yearly tradition, wherein they put the flag to rest to represent fallen police services personnel who have also been laid to rest.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day, and the week of May 15 as Police Week.
