Ramstein civilians honored for Length of Service

More than 170 German and U.S. employees received recognition for their continued service during a Length of Service ceremony at Ramstein Air Base, June 27.

Recipients of the Civilian Length of Service award for 40 years of continued service with U.S. Air Force Col. Matthew Husemann, 86th Airlift Wing vice commander, on Ramstein Air Base, June 27.

Col. Matthew S. Husemann, vice commander of the 86th Airlift Wing, greeted the guests of honor and presented them with certificates and pins. Thomas Meschkat, chairman of the works council Ramstein I, addressed the guests with a speech. Representatives of the works council Ramstein I, Ramstein II, Defense Logistics Agency and Defense Commissary Agency offices congratulated the guests of honor on their anniversaries.

Employees were recognized for the service starting at 20 years until 45 years of faithful service to the U.S. government.

The following employees were honored for 40 years of service:

Michel Josef Lorenc, Saarbrücken
Jürgen Letting, Hauptstuhl
Michael Henry, Rockenhausen

The following employees were honored for 45 years of service:
Robert Wolf, Kindsbach
Bernd Färber, Obernheim-Kirchenarnbach
