The Ramstein High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Program conducted a quarterly commander’s call on Feb. 9 recognizing and awarding cadets that displayed exemplary conduct and academic skill in the second quarter of the school year as a model to their community and peers.

Maj. (Ret.) Christopher Randel oversaw the commander’s call and assisted in presenting awards which consisted of the Cadet of the Quarter, Cadet of the Month, and Flight of the Quarter. Cadets being recognized for superior performance, sharpshooting, and an outstanding recruiting drive.

The Flight of the Quarter award was granted to Alpha Flight for their excellence in all training areas as a flight.

Cadets recognized for superior performance were those active in the Awareness Presentation Team, Kitty Hawk Air Society tutors, and the Ramstein High School JROTC Academic Bowl Team.  The recruiting ribbon was presented to eight cadets and the sharpshooter badge was awarded to three cadets.  Along with the recruiting ribbon, cadets were recognized for attendance, dress and appearance, and good conduct.

The ceremony was closed out with a set of knock out drills with cadets being dismissed by their flight commanders upon completion.
