Ramstein holds brass festival

***image1***The Ramstein-Miesenbach culture center “Haus des Bürgers” sponsors its
second International Brass and Drum Festival with a diversified program
June 29 to July 9.

The brass ensemble Rennquintett opens the festival at 8 p.m. June 29
with a repertory featuring a musical mix from Bach to blues. Tickets
cost €15.

A jazz brunch with the Unnerhaus Jazzband takes place 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
July 2. The band presents oldtime jazz while the audience can enjoy
brunch served by the restaurant Il Capriccio. Adults pay €15 and
children, ages 7 to 14, cost €8.

The four members of Enrique Tarde play Latin-oriented jazz 8 p.m. July 6 outdoors on the Marktplatz. Admission is free.

The renowned regional band Brass Machine performs a three-hour live
concert 8 p.m. July 8. If weather permits, the event takes place
outdoors. Admission is free.

Several youth orchestras of regional music associations perform to be
judged at 2 p.m. July 9. Stores will be open that Sunday afternoon.
Starting at 6 p.m., the Brass Sports Group Südwest closes out the
festival with a variety of soul and jazz.
