Ramstein men split doubleheader

***image1***The Ramstein Rams’ and Kaiserslautern Panthers’ varsity softball teams squared off in a doubleheader Saturday.

The men’s teams split their series with lopsided victories in both games.
K-Town came out swinging in game one and put it away early. The final score was 15-3. Game two was a different story. Ramstein’s Kevin Peoples, Mark Noll and John Bell all went 4-4 from the plate enroute to a 15-2 victory.

“Between the first game and the second game it looked like two completely different teams,” said Ramstein’s John Bell.

The Ramstein Lady Rams’ varsity softball team continued their surge through the U.S. Forces in Europe softball league with a doubleheader sweep of the Kaiserslautern Lady Panthers.

Ramstein, led by Jessica Martinez, who went 4-4, won the first game 16-1.
The Lady Rams turned it up a notch in game two, winning 19-1. Ramstein’s Cindy Vinyard and Mandy Ebert each went yard in the game.

The Ramstein teams stay at home to face off against Hanau in a doubleheader Saturday while the K-Town teams stay at home to face Baumholder.
