Ramstein’s Year in Review: June 2015

More than 70 U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army and Latvian service members participated in a jump day to strengthen the bonds of allies and learn from each other during exercise Saber Strike 15. The exercise involved more than 6,000 service members from 14 nations participating all throughout Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to learn from each other and promote stability in the region.

Airmen and Soldiers worked together to load two M1A2 Abrams main battle tanks onto the aircraft over a span of two days.

JTACs from various units around the Air Force joined exercise Saber Strike 15 to work with ally and partner nation counterparts to provide precise and directed aircraft support to Army units participating in the exercise. Saber Strike 15 is a multinational exercise with over 6,000 service members learning from each other and helping promote stability in the Baltic region.

The task force, based in Saint Mere Eglise, France, supported local events across Normandy from June 2 to 8, 2015, to commemorate the selfless actions by all the Allies on D-Day that continue to resonate 71 years later.
