KAHS staff welcomes newcomers
Kaiserslautern American High School will have a “Newcomer’s
Orientation” for students new to the community and freshmen who want
another opportunity to visit the school at 10 a.m. Aug. 25, in the high
school auditorium.
Administrators will welcome students, and coaches and teachers will
talk about their programs. Students and parents can tour the school and
will have a chance to meet the teachers.

Kaiserslautern American High School Culinary Arts II students senior
Vici Wilson (left) and senior Ellie Burns won first place in the
Technology Fair Competition cooking event, May 23 in Heidelberg. The
two-day annual event added the Culinary Arts category this year, which
included three rounds with a set menu of caprese salad, chicken
concasse with onion and garlic sauce, potatoes, sided with green beans
almandine and a twist of lemon peel for garnish. The students had
a 30-minute time limit to prep and one hour to cook, plate and present
the meal to the judges.
