The Ramstein American High School four-day Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Cadet Orientation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 21 in the JROTC building at the school.
The program will teach Ramstein students who want to join, or who are thinking about joining, the JROTC program, basic lessons of drill, ceremonies, customs and courtesies taught to first year cadets in JROTC classrooms. The Cadet Orientation will prepare students for their new experience in the JROTC program. Students wishing to join JROTC will be promoted to the temporary cadet rank of Airman for the first quarter of the school year based on attendance, academics, and recommendations by the cadet instructors.
Students will be divided into three flights, each led by a two or three year cadet flight commander. Cadets will learn about the JROTC program and the Air Force.
