Kaiserslautern Middle School invites the KMC to the 2008 KMS Spelling Bee at
8:45 a.m. Tuesday in the KMS auditorium.

KHS looking for mentors
Kaiserslautern High School needs volunteer mentors willing to commit 30 minutes once a week. Typically mentors come in from 8:20 to 9:45 a.m. Other times are available. For details, call Marcy Bond at 489-7541 or 0631-536-7541 or e-mail marcy.bond@eu.dodea.edu.

ROSC college scholarship
The Ramstein Officers’ Spouses Club Scholarship is open to all command-sponsored KMC Department of Defense dependents who are: 2008 graduating high school seniors; undergraduate students whose parents live and work in the KMC; and military spouses.

Scholarships are awarded solely on merit with no regard to ethnicity, gender, creed, or disability. (Financial need is not taken into consideration.)

The 2008 high school senior applications are available from high school counselors’ offices and should be returned there. The deadline is 3 p.m. Feb. 22.

The minimum eligibility requirements for high school students are: a 3.0 cumulative GPA or above; have an SAT or ACT score; and must not PCS before Feb. 22.

Undergraduate/university student applications are available at www.ramsteinosc.org/schloarships.htm. The deadline is Feb. 8.

The minimum eligibility requirements are: enrollment at an accredited college, university or technical school and must not PSC before Feb. 8.
