Teen Aviation Camp open
The 435th Services Squadron is offering an outstanding teen summer camp opportunity. The ninth-annual Air Force Services Teen Aviation Camp will be at the U.S. Air Force Academy  in Colorado Springs, Colo., from May 31 to June 5.

This camp is open to high school students entering their sophomore or junior year in the fall of 2008. Teens must be dependents of active-duty military assigned to, or living on an Air Force base, retired Air Force, AF civilian employees, activated Air National Guard or AF Reserve. Youth who participated in the 2007 camp are not eligible to apply this year.

Teens must complete the nomination form and familiarization exam and submit the package to their AF base youth programs by March 21. Applicants also will be interviewed. Forms are at www.afyouthprograms.com.

All lodging, meals, and program cost will be centrally funded at no cost to participants. Airline and travel costs to Colorado Springs are the responsibility of the participant. For details, contact Ramstein or Vogelweh Youth Programs at 480-6444 or 489-7806.

RHS hosts Big Band Jazz
NATO Allied Air Component Command presents, for one night only, Jazz Limited and the NATO Jazz Orchestra at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Ramstein High School auditorium.

Admission is $2.50 for adults and $1 for students. Refreshments will be offered at intermission. Bring something soft to sit on and enjoy two giant sets of Big Band Jazz. For details, contact Jeff Pellaton at 480-6952 or

LEMS spring schedule
Landstuhl Elementary and Middle School will be closing its doors early and starting classes a little late after spring break, due to its move into the new school complex.

April 2: No school (Teacher Record Keeping Day; on April 4 at other KMC schools)  
April 3 and 4: No school at Landstuhl
April 7 to 11: Spring break
April 14: No school at Landstuhl; First day back for other KMC schools
April 15: First day back for Landstuhl

Re-registrations for the upcoming school year will be taken any time during the move into the new building. Students are highly encouraged to obtain an updated schedule prior to leaving for spring break.

Eggs-Travaganza
The U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern will host the annual Eggs-Travaganza and Scavenger Hunt from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 22 at the Kids’ Zone and Pulaski Park.
