Wellness Night
Landstuhl Elementary/Middle School hosts its fifth annual Wellness Night from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the school as a way to promote health in the school and community. For the last five years, Sandy Merchat has spearheaded the wellness nights at LEMS. The Wellness Night is supported by Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and inspired by first lady Michelle Obama’s “Get Moving” initiative.

Lunch and Learn
Parents of third, fourth and fifth grade students at Vogelweh Elementary School are invited to the next “Lunch and Learn” from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday in the school library. Parents will learn about the Terra Nova standardized test their children will take in March. School counselors will explain all aspects of the assessment. Parents may bring a bag lunch. Light refreshments and door prizes will be provided.

KMC School Advisory Board meeting
The KMC School Advisory Board holds a public forum at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lindberghof Dining Facility on Kapaun Air Station. The School Advisory Board represents KMC schools. It is made up of an equal number of parents and faculty representatives from each school in the KMC. They provide the school and military leadership with background information and work issues under their purview, which are brought up to the board’s attention. Each parent in the KMC is welcome to attend and free to speak about their concerns during the open floor time.
